Visitors can view the Berkeley Pit from a platform located above it on the southwest rim. The viewing stand offers a look at the Berkeley Pit lake and surrounding historic and active mine workings. The Berkeley Pit Viewing Stand, open from March until November, 9 am – 5 pm, has an admission fee of $2.
If driving from I-90/15, take Exit 126. Drive north through town on Montana St., turn right onto Park St., and drive a mile east. You will see the Viewing Stand on the left.
Tours of the Berkeley Pit for school groups, government agencies, community organizations, and similar groups are also available by appointment. Email email@example.com to arrange a tour.
